Job Description
AdventureTech Group Inc. is looking for a .NET Consultant. This position requires a high degree of customer service skills as you will be in front of clients often. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the design, development and testing of computer programs/applications and the necessary collateral to build, deploy, and maintain the applications. Write code and complete projects using current programming language and technologies. Supports and/or installs software applications. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Completes documentation and procedures for maintenance. This person should be able to work independently while maintaining good clean object oriented standards throughout their development.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Design & maintain Internet, Intranet, Forms based applications written in both ASP, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET.
- Develop DB's in everything from Microsoft SQL Server to Access.
- Develop new revenue producing ideas and approaches for the organization's growth.
- Develop requirements and scope of projects assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- At least 2 years experience in software engineering, designing, and developing web based applications.
- Experience with C# and VB .NET languages.
- Experience with object oriented aspects of this language and how to develop applications from the ground up properly.
- Experience developing ASP.NET applications for both intranets and internet purposes.
- Experience with Visual Basic 6.0, InterDev, Visual Source Safe and ability to maintain older .ASP pages.
- Experience with SQL Server 7.0 and 2000 from both the development and maintenance perspectives including the ability to write good clean stored procedures to interface with the languages listed above.
- Experience with E-Commerce website development a plus.
- Experience dealing with customer requirements and managing expectations.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
- Ability to learn rapidly.
Education:
- 4-year degree in computer science, related field or equivalent experience.
IBM Programmer
IBM Programmer Qualifications
- Experience on the AS/400/iSeries/i5.
- Programming skills in RPG ILE.
- HTML is a plus.
- Strong customer relation skills.
Microsoft Programmer
Microsoft Programmer Qualifications
- Programming/Development skills in .NET languages.
- Experience with object oriented aspects of this language.
- Strong customer relation skills.
